The
core instructional staff at BTP
represents a little over a half a
century of accumalated goaltending
knowledge. Chris Galton, Jeremy
Kalainecki, and Todd Lightfoot have
played and coached high levels of
hockey. All having received some of
the best coaching avaliable in U.S.
BTP students can draw form Jeremy's
innovative North American training,
Chris's cutting edge Russian and
European styles and Todd's in depth
knowledge of the evolution of the
games fundamentals and the tactics
game as coached from the bench. BTP
students are not getting the
knowledge from one person and one
concept of style. We combine these
backgrounds to give the students the
most amount of exposure so they can
find what suites their individual
style. The end result of this
training knowledge promotes the
modern versatility needed by todays
goaltenders.
BTP's Support Staff represents a
specific selection of individuals
who have the right mix of skill
sets, (atheletic/hockey, attitude&
leadership) that enhance the
students learning experience both on
and off of the ice.
We
encourage you to learn more about
the
members of our Support Staff
as well.

Jeremy Kalainecki
GOALIE
COACH & DIRECTOR, ON ICE OPERATIONS
Jeremy is the newest addition to
the BTP family and he brings with
him a wealth of experience and
wisdom not usually found in an
active, competitive player of his
age. Cutting edge goaltending theory
, application, and technique are
just a few of his many positive
attributes that when combined with
his explosive youthful energy,
insight and enthusiasm, make him a
perfect fit for the Assistant Camp
Directors position. As you review
his credentials, you'll agree that
our students are fortunate to have
his experience and knowledge
available to them. Jeremy was
fortunate to have Victor Federov as
his coach during his time with the
Belle Tire Midget AAA, laying the
foundation of exceptional ability
for him to launch into a Junior A
career. Jeremy broke into the
juniors with the Toledo WolfPack of
the CEHL where he was the youngest
starter in the league, maintained a
top five statistical position
throughout the season and was named
to the CEHL All Star Team. The ACHA,
Division I, Robert Morris College
Eagles grabbed Jeremy on scholarship
for 2004- '05 playing season where
he again proved his abilities
between the pipes, and once again
garnered league favor and post
season accolades with his naming to
the 2004 -'05 ACHA All Rookie team!
The call for more ice took Jeremy to
Traverse City and the NAHL for the
2005 - '06 season where he wore the
T.C. North Stars sweater, logged
over 2500 minutes of playing time
and helped lead the team into post
season play. Jeremy has been
involved with coaching for eight
years, five of those associated with
goalie specific camps. His resume'
includes two years with Mike Rizdale
of the Hockey Academy of Toronto,
and the past three years with
Stephen McKichan's Future Pro Goalie
School where he was a member of his
senior staff. During his time with
Future Pro, he worked along side of
and trained with current NHL players
and goalies with the Toronto Maple
Leafs farm system.
